Luke A. Goodrich grew up in northern Michigan, graduating from Onekama High School. Luke attended Michigan State University, where he received a B.A. Degree in History for Secondary Education in 2003. He has been practicing law in the Lansing area since graduating from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2008.
Luke served as the law clerk to the Hon. Rosemarie E. Aquilina for four years, prior to going into private practice. During his over five years in private practice, he focused primarily on defending indigent clients facing felony charges. He worked both as a trial attorney, and as an appellate attorney through the Michigan Appellate Assigned Counsel System. Following a second stint as the law clerk for Judge Aquilina, helping to manage an entirely criminal docket, Luke joined the Office of the Public Defender to bring his experience in criminal law and passion for defending the rights of the accused, to assist those in greatest need of legal assistance.
Luke is an avid Michigan State football and basketball fan. He is also a former president and current member of the Lansing Catholic Lawyers Guild.
